Exodus Carbon Black is Dominique Du Sablon’s ongoing body of work. Exodus Carbon Black is a deeply personal project that is focused on his own experiences working swing shifts in a tire factory. The immersion into the machine of industrialism is a potent life experience. This experience has caused him to reflect deeply on topics such as, the environment and humanities relationship with nature, the struggle of the creative mind against the rigidness of the world of manufacturing, and escapism through vivid imagination as a reaction to struggle.
